• Direct and manage plant operations for production and maintenance.
• Coordinate plant activities through the planning with department’s heads to insure the production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Plan, monitor and control production processes cycle time, cost, in accordance to quality standard.
• Overall responsibility for directing, planning and supervising the Maintenance department.
• Monitor downtime reports. Adjust PM’s as needed and ensure equipment operates smoothly at all times.
• Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production according to quality standards.
• Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
• Act as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, Environmental Protection Act and requirements of other statutory bodies.
• Ensure all key members of staff are fully aware of duties and responsibilities and that these are met to the satisfaction of the company and any relevant statutory or industry body.
• Set targets for supervisors, foremen and engineers in terms of volume, cost and performance in short and long term.
• Explore opportunities for the development of the business.
• Review and re-assess existing working practices with an innovative approach.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Ensure the systematic training and development of staff within the area of responsibility to meet present and future needs
• Ensuring that plant efficiency is maintained at the highest possible level without sacrificing safety, quality and cost standards
• To actively take part in the preparation of a company budget on an annual basis.
• To assist in applying quality management system
• To follow up the applications of CE system, ISO 9001 system, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 140
