_Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database
_Construct data accumulation systems
_Determine fixed costs (e.g. salaries, rent and insurance)
_Plan and record variable costs (e.g. purchases of raw material and operations costs)
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
_Prepare budgeting reports (for the company and for each department)
_Analyze and report profit margins
_Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts
_Assisting in month-end and year-end closing
_Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions

_In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
_Experience with accounting software, like FreshBooks and Zoho
_Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
_Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
_Strong time management skills
_Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
