Job Description
The prime focus of this role is to manage the external and internal treasury operational requirements for the business and managing the day to day operations for the treasury function in Kuwait. In addition, the jobholder will also assist with negotiating facilities with banks, assessing The company's likely credit rating and supporting the Group Treasurer on the larger funding projects. This role will be corporate focused, but will work across all business groups.
Essential job duties/responsibilities:
Manage the day to day Kuwait Treasury functions, including cash and foreign exchange management, and systems, including the IT2 Treasury Management System.
Develop system based standard processes and enable the department to offer in house banking services to the The business
Coordinate projects and initiatives with Corporate Treasury and Tax and others that promote inter-company lending and repatriation of funds to optimize post tax profit and efficiencies.
Work with the BD teams on due diligence for bolt on acquisitions, or organic growth opportunities.
Develop and progress the existing Treasury team.
Deliver all core Treasury reporting and management through the IT/2 Treasury Management System.
Support on the funding requirements for the business, on the larger funding projects, negotiating facilities with banks, balance sheet structure and managing the firm's likely credit rating. Negotiate for better interest rates and profit strategies.
Negotiate conditions and requirements of loan and banking agreements, supported by the Regional Treasury Managers (RTMs) and Regional Finance Managers.
Support to structure funding solutions to reduce effect of accounting translation exposures.

Job Skills
Education/training required:
Graduate with an Accountancy qualification, and/or a treasury qualification in addition.
Min 5 years experience in Treasury and Finance including management and supervision of operational departments must have good systems knowledge.
Experience with international reporting and knowledge of GAAP reporting preferred.
Desired skills & experience:
Understands the business of international logistics.
Understands the need to work within timeframes and support business objectives and the global Treasury organization.
Focuses on introducing and following tight standardized processes in relation to cash, liquidity and foreign exchange processing.
Needs to be experienced in people management for regular contact with direct reports, employees, managers and executives across all functions and geographies of the organization.
Needs to use regular external contact with banks, outside representatives including government agencies, and 3rd party service providers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
