Maintenance Manager / Planet manager
JOB OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance activities, ensuring machinery, equipment, and facilities remain safe, efficient, and reliable. This role involves strategic planning of preventive maintenance, leadership of the maintenance team, strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Oversee all maintenance activities related to plant machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure quality output.
• Lead, train, and supervise maintenance teams, ensuring they follow safety protocols and industry best practices.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with casting machines, molding systems and other specialized equipment used pipe production.
• Manage budgets for maintenance, including parts, tools, and equipment procurement, with a focus on cost efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Continuously assess and improve maintenance strategies by analyzing machine performance metrics, identifying root causes of failures, and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and optimize the plant’s overall operational performance.
•Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

Job Skills
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in heavy industrial setting.
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing technical teams.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical as well as maintenance best practices.
• Familiarity with safety, environmental, and quality regulations in heavy manufacturing environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office).
