The purpose of the role is as follows:
To review and approve the specification, design and supply (by contractors) of topside structures for deepwater hosting facilities application ensuring that they meets project objectives, industry standards and best practice for safety, reliability and cost.
The role requires the following responsibilities:
* Responsible for all structural aspects of design and construction of the topsides modules, the flare boom, buildings, other structural components, and for the structural support interfaces with the hull for a generic deepwater host facility;
* Ensure topsides modules and other structures are, designed, analyzed and fabricated in accordance with company technical requirements and specifications;
* Oversee engineering contractor's efforts to perform topsides structural analysis, drawing preparation, weight control, cost and construction schedule estimating, EPC bid preparation and all other structural design activities during Feed and Detailed Design;
* Participate in topsides structural specification preparations, qualification of FEED/EPCI Contractors, development, review and evaluation of the EPCI tender packages, design reviews, quality control planning, monitoring of weight control report and all activities required to support successful topsides structural design, fabrication, integration with topsides and turret, transport and installation;
* Work with the Naval Architect as appropriate to interface with the hull Classing Society and/or facility Classification body; Provide structural discipline input and support for various multi-discipline deliverables, such as FEED, cost estimates and schedule preparation, PEER Reviews, etc.

* Experience working with large, multi-discipline project teams;
* Experience designing topsides for FPSO, working with naval architects at the topsides and hull interface
* Organization Processes: Suppliers qualification methodology and techniques, Feed-back development and diffusion, Technical audit and Design Review, Work team management methodology;
* Supports and technologies: International Standard, TQM and Quality system, Technical requirement and Standard;
* Compliance: Local/National and International Standard and Codes, Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Tender procedure;
* Floater Topside Design: Floater Topside Design.
