Job Description
• Design and Development:
Creating and optimizing protection and control systems for substations, including designing relay settings and schemes.
• Technical Analysis:
Performing fault studies, short circuit calculations, and relay coordination studies using specialized software like Aspen or ETAP.
• System Integration:
Collaborating with other engineers (e.g., SCADA, physical substation engineers) to ensure seamless integration of protection and control systems.
• Testing and Commissioning:
Supporting the testing and commissioning of new substations and equipment, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Troubleshooting:
Investigating and resolving issues related to protection and control systems, including analyzing disturbances and outages.
• Documentation and Compliance:
Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and relay settings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
