DKT Egypt opened its doors in 2004 to fill a gap in Egypt’s private sector by providing high-quality, yet low-cost contraceptives. In 2005, DKT introduced its first low-priced intrauterine device (IUD), which was previously unavailable in the private sector. DKT now offers 6 types of IUDs and 7 varieties of condoms. Although DKT’s team in Egypt is small, we are able to distribute across the entire country, and we currently provide contraceptives to 4,000 gynecologists and 10,000 pharmacies.
